Today let’s look at Hebrews 1:14, “Therefore, angels are only servants – spirits sent to care for people who inherit salvation.” Do you believe in angels? They believe in you! Some people wonder if angels really play a role in the lives of people on earth. According to Scripture, if you’re a Christian, the answer is yes!

Occasionally, God draws back the cosmic curtain and allows people to see His angelic creation. In Numbers 22:31-32, Balaam’s eyes were opened to a sword-wielding angel. In 2 Kings 6:15-17, the eyes of Elisha’s servant saw the mighty angelic army that was surrounding the Aramean army outside the city of Dothan. David understood the angel in Psalm 34:7 when he wrote, “For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.” Jesus Himself said in Matthew 18:10, “Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in Heaven their angels are always in the presence of My Heavenly Father.” Angels exist!

Have you ever had a close call? That might have been the intervention of an angel. But what about the close call that is not averted? Where’s the angel then? He’s escorting you into God’s presence in Heaven. God is still in control and the angels did their job – guiding us, protecting us, and finally taking us to Heaven. There’s no Biblical reason to not believe in angels. As I said, they believe in you! So do believe in angels for they are as real as you and me, only in a different spiritual realm.

Yours in Christ
